Hand #77: Top Two for Sylvia

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante
Jesse Sylvia
Jesse Sylvia

Jake Balsiger was on the button to begin this hand. Jesse Sylvia raised to 1.05 million from under the gun, and his former roommate Russell Thomas made the call from the cutoff seat. Everyone else folded.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and Sylvia bet 1.125 million. Thomas made the call.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}, and Sylvia checked over to Thomas. Thomas took his time, then fired 1.6 million. Sylvia made the call.

On the river, the {A-Diamonds} completed the board, and Sylvia checked. Thomas quickly checked behind, and Sylvia opened up the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for top two pair. Thomas could only mucked, and Sylvia won the pot.
