Hand #28: Diamonds for Merson

Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

Andras Koroknai had the button. Greg Merson opened to 700,000 from middle position, Michael Esposito called out of the small blind, and the flop was {j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, and Esposito led for 800,000. Merson called. The {q-Diamonds} completed the board, and Esposito led again - this time for 1.25 million. Merson tanked for 30 seconds or so, then raised to 3.7 million. Esposito immediately called.

Merson tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Esposito mucked, and Merson raked in the pot.
