Griffin Takes One Down

Can Kim Hua started off the action with a raise to 50,000 from the under the gun position and he got three callers. Butler, Davis and Griffin all got involved and the flop showed {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. All four players checked after which the turn brought out the {K-Spades}.

On the turn it was Griffin who took the betting lead from the big blind throwing out 50,000. He got called by Davis giving us heads up action on the river. The river was the {3-Hearts} and both players checked. "Two pair," Griffin announced after which he turned over {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} for eights and fives. Davis wasn't able to beat that hand and Griffin picked up a nice pot at this final table. We are still with nine players.
