Daniel Idema Eliminated in 14th Place ($36,303)

Daniel Idema
Daniel Idema

Action folded to Amanda Musumeci who made it 45,000 from the cutoff. Daniel Idema responded by moving all in for 494,000 from the button. Giorgio Medici called from the small blind and Musumeci slowly pushed her cards away and into the muck.

Idema: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Midici: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Midici jumped far into the lead, hitting a set on the {8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. The {3-Clubs} turn and {Q-Spades} river were not able to save Idema and he was sent away in 14th place.

Le Doubles Through Reynolds

Stephen Reynolds opened for 41,000 and received a call from Aviraham Lovton on the button. Dien Le opted to move all in for about 400,000 from the small blind and Reynolds quickly called. Lovton got out of the way and Le tabled {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} which was slightly ahead of Reynolds' {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop paired Le, bringing {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Reynolds was searching for any paint heading to fourth and fifth street, but did not find it. The turn and river brought instead the {5-Hearts} and the {2-Diamonds}, which was enough to ensure a double up for Le.

Razavi Runs into Reynolds

When we arrived at Table 451, there was a flop showing {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Ashkan Razavi and Stephen Reynolds were involved in the hand.

Razavi was in the big blind seat and led with a bet of 23,000. Reynolds then raised it up to 58,000. A call from Razavi and the dealer would send another card onto the felt.

The {8-Diamonds} turn would see Razavi check this time and then call when Reynolds bet 89,000. It was a {2-Spades} on the river that completed the board and it was again Razavi first to act.

Razavi took his time, but eventually flicked out a bet of 114,000. Reynolds then went deep into the tank before making it an extra 200,000. This prompted Razavi to go even deeper into the tank as the hand would end up last around five minutes.

Razavi decided to make the call and then mucked his cards as Reynolds turned over {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a turned full house. With that Reynolds has cracked one million chips, while Razavi is still healthy with one of the big stacks.

Musumeci's Million-Chip Double

Amanda Musumeci doubles.
Amanda Musumeci doubles.

Amanda Musumeci opened to 51,000 from middle position, Giorgio Medici called on her direct left, and Ryan Olisar three-bet to 159,000 from the big blind. Musumeci moved all in for 559,000, Medici released, and Olisar snapped it off.

Musumeci : {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Olisar : {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

"Good luck, Amanda," someone on the rail said as the flop fell {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, giving Olisar four extra outs. Luckily for Musumeci, the turn ({8-Clubs}) and the river ({9-Diamonds}) were both bricks, and she doubled to more than a million chips.

You Can Always Get a Count

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded around to Dien Le who popped it up to 55,000 on the button. The small blind got out of the way and Stephen Reynolds contemplated his action from the big blind.

"Can I get a count of what he's got behind?" asked Reynolds.

"He's not all in," replied the dealer who did not start to count Le's chips.

"He can still get a count!" chimed in Greg Mueller.

The dealer shrugged his shoulders and obliged, getting a count of Le's chips and giving it to Reynolds. Reynolds announced a three-bet to 154,000 and Le promptly threw away his hand.

Hold Me Closer Tiny Bettor

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Amanda Musumeci opened to 51,000 from early position, Brian Rast called on the button, and the dealer fanned {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Musumeci led for 78,000, and Rast called.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, and Musumeci tossed out two green T25,000 chips, and three yellow T1,000 chips, making it 53,000 to go. Rast quickly folded, and Musumeci raked in the pot.

Preflop Pushing

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Ryan Olisar opened to 120,000 from under the gun. Amanda Musumeci thought for about 30 seconds before mucking her hand. It folded to Brian Rast in the big blind who counted out a three-bet to 255,000. Olisar quickly announced that he was all in and Rast threw his hand away.

Floor Ruling

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Stephen Reynolds is currently a little upset at a decision the floor has made, but according to the rules, it seems like the correct ruling was come to.

This is what happened. Aviraham Lovton opened the pot to 50,000. Reynolds, in the cut-off seat, wasn't aware the pot had already been opened and said, "I raise to 50,000." The table then filled him that the pot had already been opened to 50,000. This is when the floor was called. As Reynolds had verbalized the words "I raise," he was obliged to put in a min-raise to 76,000. He wasn't happy with this call and seemed uncomfortable while the rest of the hand played out.

The two players checked as the dealer turned over a {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} board. However on the river Lovton bet 40,000 and then Reynolds folded. As Reynolds sent his cards into the muck, Lovton said, "phew!"

Giorgio Medici opened to 58,000 from middle position, Ryan Olisar three-bet to 160,000 on the button, and Medici quickly called. The dealer fanned {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and Medici instantly moved all in for effectively 1.113 million. Olisar snapped it off, and the two tabled their cards.

Medici: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Olisar: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds} on the turn sealed the deal, and the {4-Hearts} on the river completed the board. It took a minute or so to verify the counts, and after the hand they looked like this:
