Day 3 Set to Begin; Seiver and Rast Looking for Another Bracelet
Here we are folks, getting ready to play down to a final table in Event 9: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry. It's going to be huge day of poker and definitely not something you want to miss. At the end of the day just nine players will remain. Who will they be?
One man who has a great chance of making it to the final nine is Brian Rast. Day 2 was the Rast show and with his giant chip stack, we are sure that will continue into Day 3.
A total of 32 players will be joining Rast at the felt, all vying for the chance at making a run at the title. Of those players it is Ryan Olisar and Scott Seiver who are biting at the heels of Rast. Seiver, who knows what it takes to win a WSOP gold bracelet, will start the day with the third largest chip stack and will be one to watch today.
Below is how the top five chip counts stack up:
Rank | Player | Count |
1 | Brian Rast | 1,498,000 |
2 | Ryan Olisar | 1,080,000 |
3 | Scott Seiver | 1,031,000 |
4 | Aviraham Lovton | 872,000 |
5 | Jonathan Duhamel | 840,000 |
As you can see 2010 WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel is right up there in the counts and will be in with a big chance of heading to the final table. Some of the notables who round out the returning players include Paul Wasicka, Amanda Musumeci and Daniel Idema.
It all begins at 1:00 PM local time, so make sure to keep your screens locked to PokerNews as we play down to a World Series of Poker final table.
