Tieman On A Tear, Eliminates Ahmed

Josh Tieman has just won back-to-back big pots to boost his stack up to over 151,000. On the first hand, Matt Weber started the action by raising to 2,800 on the button. The small blind made the call, and Tieman was in the big blind. He elected to raise to 9,200, and it was back to Weber. He clicked it back to 19,300, and the small blind folded.

It was back to Tieman, and after a few moments of thought, he shipped all in for 52,200. That was too much for Weber, as he released his hand, giving the pot to Tieman.

On the next hand, Owais Ahmed and Tieman saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Spades}. Tieman checked to Ahmed, who fired out 4,200. Tieman check raised to 10,800, and it was back to Ahmed. He put in a reraise to 18,000, and Tieman responded by moving all in again, having Ahmed covered. Ahmed called, but he was in for bad news when the cards were tabled.

Tieman: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Ahmed: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Tieman's flopped set was miles ahead of Ahmed's overpair, and he would need to catch a miracle to win the hand. The turn came the {8-Clubs}, and the river brought the {4-Diamonds}. Ahmed headed to the rail, while Tieman shot up to 151,000 after the hand.

Mitch Schock opened in late position and Scott Davies called from the small blind. The flop came {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and Davies check-called 5,100. The turn came {10-Diamonds}, Davies checked and Schock bet 8,000. Davies called and the river came {7-Hearts}. Davies checked again, Schock moved all in for 26,300 and Davies called after a couple moments.

Schock tabled {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and Davies mucked with a sigh.

Massey Handles Hebda

We didn't catch the exact preflop action, but we know that Joseph Hebda got his stack in preflop holding {a-Spades}{j-Spades}. He was in a world of hurt though, as Aaron Massey had {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Hebda picked up a flush draw when the flop came {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. However, the board ran out sixes, coming the {6-Hearts} and the {6-Clubs}. Massey collected the bounty, upping his stack to 89,000.

Grospellier Nearly Felts Fielder

Jeff Fielder raised under the gun to 3,500, and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier made the call. Everyone else folded, and they saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Both players checked, and when the {10-Spades} hit the turn, Fielder bet out 4,500. Grospellier came along, and the river was the {q-Spades}. Fielder kept up the aggression, betting out 8,000, but Grospellier responded by raising to 23,300. Fielder made the call, and Grospellier tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for a rivered straight. Fielder mucked his hand, dropping him to 12,500, while Grospellier jumps up to 164,000.
