Makhija Knocks Out Two

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Amit Makhija
Amit Makhija

The player in the hijack opened to 4,000 and was followed by the all in bet from the cutoff. Amit Makhija shoved for more from the button and the hijack snap called.

Hijack: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Makhija: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Makhija hit his one-outer when the flop fell {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. The {5-Hearts} turn and river {q-Diamonds} did not help his opponents and Makhija is building a healthy stack.

Kassela: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
All In: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Spades} and Kassela was pushed the pot.

Crane and Olisar Tangle For The Last Time

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We came to the action as the flop {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} was on the board and the {5-Diamonds} turn was dealt. Russell Crane checked from middle position and Ryan Olisar in the hijack bet 18,500. After a lengthy tank, Crane moved all in and Olisar quickly called. Crane turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the lead with a flush against Olisar's straight with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The river {5-Clubs} was meaningless and Olisar was eliminated.

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Lhommeau Doubles Through Crane

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Damien Lhommeau
Damien Lhommeau

From under the gun, Amit Makhija made a raise to 4,000. In the next seat over, Maurice Hawkins made the call. Two seats over from that Damien Lhommeau moved all in for roughly 50,000. Action folded to Russell Crane in the small blind who thought about it for a while, then finally announced a call. Action folded back to Makhija who folded, as did Hawkins.

Crane: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Lhommeau: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

There was no sweat for Lhommeau on the {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, but a flush draw did materialize on the {8-Spades} turn. Fortunately the river was the {J-Diamonds} and Lhommeau was awarded a double up through what was one of the biggest stacks in the tournament.

Schulman Hits The Rail

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The decline of Nick Schulman's stack started with he and David Diaz got all their chips in the middle for the second time in 30 minutes. Schulman was happy to see his {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} up against Diaz's {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. He wasn't so happy to see a jack in the door, however when the {7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop was dealt. He received no help from the {9-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river. Diaz doubled leaving Schulman extremely short stacked.

Three hands later, a player under the gun made it 5,000 to go and found a caller in Chris Hunichen from middle position. Schulman moved all in for his final 12,000 and the UTG made it 22,500 hoping Hunichen would fold. Just the opposite happened and Hunichen came over the top and it was the UTG player that folded.

Schulman: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Hunichen: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Hunichen's sevens held up, eliminating Schulman in the process.

Hawkins Bluffs Some to Lhommeau

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The action started with a player under the gun who raised to 4,800. He was called by Maurice Hawkins on the button and Damien Lhommeau from the big blind.

On the {4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop all three players checked.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and action checked to Hawkins who made a bet of 15,000. Only Lhommeau called from the big blind.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Lhommeau checked to Hawkins who made another bet, this time for 18,000. Lhommeau made the quick call. Hawkins showed {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a missed flush draw, but Lhommeau was able to scoop the pot with {A-}{Q-} for a pair of aces.
