Frank Kassela
Frank Kassela

We started this event with 1,819 yesterday and after 11 levels of play, we find ourselves with 206 players vying for the first-place prize of $454,424. For 198 of those players, a WSOP cash is just around the corner. We expect to hit the money soon and will continue on through ten 1-hour levels of play.

Mark Wahba, from Cleveland, Ohio is in the lead with 152,000. There are plenty of notables still remaining in the field including Frank Kassela (121,800), Todd Terry (83,400), Dan Kelly (36,000), Paul Wasicka (38,300), Amit Makhija (23,600) and Andy Frankenberger (22,100). A few notable shot stacks Adam Geyer (13,300) and Cary Katz (8,700) have their work cut out for them as we are beginning the day at level 12 with 600/1,200 blinds and a 200 ante. Play resumes in the purple section of the Amazon Room if you are interesting in railing the action. Of course you can stay right here with PokerNews.com for the latest updates.

While we wait for the action to commence, why not check out Kristy Arnett with all the highlights from around the Rio to get you started on another day of action here at the 2013 World Series of Poker.
