A Raising War Between Shorr and Paur

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Shannon Shorr opened to 8,000 from early position. Taylor Paur reraised to 18,500 from middle position and everyone else got out of the way. Shorr 4-bet to 39,000 and Paur bumped it up once more, this time to 100,000. Shorr finally stopped the back and forth with an all in and Paur called.

Shorr: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Paur: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Paur had Shorr dominated heading to the flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. The flop gave Shorr a back door flush draw and the {7-Diamonds} turn kept that hope alive. It was the {q-Clubs} on the river, however, that would give Shorr the winning hand with two pair and all Paur could do was sigh and shake his head.
