Chad Eveslage Leads at the end of Day 1
Event #18 of the 2013 World Series of Poker attracted a bumper crowd of 2,071 players, but by the time 11 60-minute levels had been completed just 163 of those remained. Leading the 163 survivors back into battle on Tuesday's Day 2 is Chad Eveslage and his 134,000 stack.
Despite Event #18 sporting the lowest buy-in of the 2013 WSOP it drew in some of the biggest names in the business. The likes of Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Phil Hellmuth, Greg raymer, Annette Obrestad, Antonio Esfandiari, Carter Philips, Scott Clements and Jason Mericer each graced us with their presence before busting out short of the 216 money places.
Those money places were reached during the final level of play when Cherish Andrews' 
could not get there against the 
of her opponent. Andrews' exit meant any player with chips in front of them was guaranteed a payout of at least $1,901.
Some of the players who are guaranteed prize money include Joe Ebanks (14,000 chips), Taylor Paur (30,000), David "ODB" Baker (37,100), Dominik Nitsche (37,100), Men Nguyen (70,600), Shannon Shorr (69,800) and the legendary Phil Ivey (71,100).
As mentioned it is Chad Eveslage who leads the way going into Day 2 thanks to his 134,000 chip stack. Eveslage is a regular on the WSOP Circuit where he has some impressive results including two final tables and an outright win to his name. Eveslage is now guaranteed his first WSOP cash, something he will no doubt be proud of.
Other big stacks include Dan Martin (124,800), Niccolo Caramatti (120,000), James Cho (115,400), Charles Clark (114,000), Jason Everett (102,000).
