Dan Kelly (Day 1)

When we reached the table, Brandon Cantu, Trevor Pope and Dan Kelly were three handed on a flop of {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Cantu and Pope checked, Kelly fired out 4,000, and only Pope called.

The turn was the {5-Spades}, Pope checked again, and Kelly tossed out another 10 dimes. Pope called, and both players checked when the {a-Clubs} completed the board.

"Tens," Pope said.

Kelly showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and raked in the pot.

The next hand, Kelly opened in early position and Pope defended in the big blind. Pope check-called 3,500 on the flop ({6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}), and 11,500 on the turn ({3-Hearts}). The {j-Clubs} completed the board, Pope checked a third time, and Kelly fired 25,000. Pope finally folded, and Kelly dragged in another pot.
