Lee & Harwell Sent to the Rail

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

David Chiu was under the gun and raised to 12,000. Mack Lee then three-bet to 18,000 and Sumanth Reddy made it four bets to go from the hijack. Chiu called, Lee committed his remaining 4,000 and it was off to the {3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop. Chiu had checked in the dark and then folded to a bet from Reddy.

Reddy: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Lee: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Reddy tabled his hand first and showed trip kings and the nut-low draw, but his high was no good as Lee had a set of aces! The {J-Hearts} turned seemed innocent enough, and so did the {8-Hearts}. Both Lee and Reddy were prepared to take half the pot, but then someone at the table pointed out that Reddy not only made a low, he also hit a runner-runner flush.

Lee quickly turned his attention back to the board and discovered the bad news. "Sorry," Reddy said before Lee made his way to the payout desk in 32nd place.

A minute or so later, Robert Harwell joined him on the rail in 31st place.

Schwecke Quartered, Then Busts

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

We got to the table as the rest of Tyler Schwecke's stack was going in the middle in a heads up pot against Can Kim Hua. The board read {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and here's what the players had.

Schwecke: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Spades}
Hua: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Both players had ace-three for the low, and Schwecke was in great shape to get three quarters with a straight. Hua asked the dealer for a diamond, and the dealer obliged, putting the {9-Diamonds} on the river. That gave Hua three quarters, and left Schwecke with just 20,000. He was eliminated shortly after.

Chidwick Gets Caught

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

The board had already completed {k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} when we arrived and saw Stephen Chidwick heads up with Sumanth Reddy. There were a ton of bets from both players, and when we arrived, Reddy was tanking after a river bet from Chidwick. Eventually, Reddy called, and Chidwick said "you got it." Reddy tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for trip tens, and Chidwick mucked his hand, dropping him to 85,000.

D'Agostino Crippled, then Eliminated

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

We unfortunately only caught the end of the hand, but we know that John D'Agostino and Joe Ford got tangled in a huge pot, with the final board showing {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. When it got to showdown, Ford showed {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for fours full, and the wheel for a low. D'Agostino couldn't beat that hand, and he was left with just 15,000 in chips. A few moments later, we saw him heading towards the payout desk.

McHugh Ousted

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Christopher McHugh was just eliminated in 28th.

It happened when John Racener opened for 16,000 from middle position and Maria Ho three-bet to 24,000 from the cutoff. McHugh made it 32,000 to go from the small blind, Racener folded and Ho moved all in for 36,000 total, which was the same amount McHugh had.

McHugh: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Ho: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Both players had aces, but it was the {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop that gave Ho a wheel and the win. Neither the {9-Hearts} turn nor {4-Hearts} river made a difference, and that means we're down to the final 27 players.
