Short Break

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Dale Beaudoin was just eliminated in 10th place (details coming), and the final table players are taking a 20 minute break. Introductions are starting at 6.

Dale Beaudoin Eliminated in 10th Place ($15,623)

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Dale Beaudoin - 10th Place.
Dale Beaudoin - 10th Place.

Stephen Chidwick raised from the hijack, and Dale Beaudoin tossed the last of his chips in from the big blind.

Beaudoin: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Chidwick: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

A flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} didn't bring much hope for Beaudoin. The turn came {2-Clubs}, and Beaudoin was down to his last card. The {q-Spades} did nothing for him, and the chipleader coming into Day 3 was the unfortunate final table bubble victim.

Play Resuming

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Final table play has begun, and there's just 90 seconds remaining before the next level. We'll play two more levels until the dinner break.

Level: 25

Blinds: 13,000/25,000

Ante:

Dao Bac Crippled, Eliminated in 9th Place ($19,753)

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante
Dao Bac
Dao Bac

Calen McNeil raised it up from under the gun, and Dao Bac was the lone caller from the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and for the first time that we can remember all tournament, the betting was capped on the flop. Bac then proceeded to check call on the {q-Clubs} turn, and the {5-Clubs} river. McNeil revealed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nuts, and Back showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} before mucking.

That hand knocked Bac down to just 9,000, and two hands later, that went in the middle. John Monnette raised it up in late position, and Bac called off the rest of his stack in the small blind. McNeil also called from the big blind, and the flop came {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. McNeil check called a bet from Monnette, but he folded when Monnette bet the {6-Spades} turn.

Monnette: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Bac: {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Bac was looking for a low card to take half the pot, but the dealer put the {q-Clubs} on the river, ending Bac's tournament.

Chidwick Doubles Through Ma

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Tony Ma raised from early position, and action folded to Stephen Chidwick in the big blind, who made it three bets. Ma called.

Chidwick bet out most of the rest of his chips on the {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, and Ma put him all in. Chidwick called.

Chidwick: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Ma: {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Ma had a wrap straight draw and a low draw, while Chidwick had aces and a weaker low draw that Ma had duplicated. The turn and river were {10-Clubs} and {k-Clubs}, bricking Ma's draw and doubling Chidwick up.

"How could I miss that?" Ma wondered as the dealer swept up his cards.

Brunson Spikes a One Outer

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante
Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

Action folded to Can Kim Hua, who made it two bets in late position. Calen McNeil called, as did Todd Brunson in the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, and Brunson checked to Hua, who fired out a bet. McNeil folded, but Brunson came along to see the {q-Spades} hit the turn. Brunson check called another bet, and the river was the {k-Diamonds}. Brunson checked again, and Hua fired once more. This time though, Brunson threw in a check raise. Hua was hesitant to toss the call in, but he eventually did, and Brunson tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a rivered full house.

Hua shook his head as he mucked, and McNeil said "One outer Todd I folded a king." Brunson shrugged as he took in the pot to up his stack to 740,000, while Hua dropped down to 785,000.

"At Least Bet it if You're Going to Draw to it"

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Can Kim Hua raised from early position and found callers in Calen McNeil (middle position) and John Monnette (big blind).

The flop came {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, and Monnette checked. Hua bet, McNeil called and Monnette raised. Hua called, and McNeil folded. The turn came {10-Diamonds}, double pairing the board with two flush draws. Monnette kept betting, and Hua called again. The river was the {4-Spades}, and Monnette checked. Hua checked behind him.

"Queens," Monnette announced.

They were no good, as Hua turned over {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

"At least bet it if you're going to draw to it, C.K.," Monnette said. "If you think you're drawing dead, just fold."

Won Goag Eliminated in 8th Place ($25,283)

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante
Won Goag
Won Goag

Action folded to Won Goag in late position, and he raised it up. Tony Ma put in a three bet, and everyone else folded. Goag committed the rest of his short stack, and Ma made the call.

Goag: {a-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Ma: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Goag's only hope was if low cards came out on the board, and both players smashed the flop of {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Despite flopping two pair, Goag could only catch a jack to win the hand, and neither player could qualify for a low. The turn brought the {6-Diamonds}, and the river was the {2-Hearts}. Goag's smaller full house was no good, and he finished up in 8th place.
