Dan Kelly Eliminated in 20th Place ($9,741)

We arrived at the table just in time to see Dan Kelly's cards being mucked by the dealer as he was eliminated from play. The board read {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and Kelly's opponent, Brian Hastings, held {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for aces full of treys and a sixty-five low. Kelly was unable to beat this hand and was eliminated from play.

Despite his early exit today, Kelly has still managed an astounding WSOP this year as this is his seventh recorded cash of the summer.

George Danzer opened the action with a raise from the cutoff only to have Huck Seed three-bet from the button. Danzer four-bet when it came back to him and Seed five-bet all in. Danzer called and the hands were turned over.

Danzer: {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Seed: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Danzer looked up at Seed.

"Good game," said Danzer.

Seed stared at the board for a moment.

"What happened?" remarked Seed.

"I made a wheel," replied Danzer, who indeed made a wheel to scoop the pot and eliminate Seed. Seed will take home $9,741 in 23rd-place prize money.

Mizrachi Leads The Remaining 27 Players

Chip Leader Robert Mizrachi
Chip Leader Robert Mizrachi

Welcome to our Day 3 coverage of Event #25: $5,000 Omaha Hi-Low 8-or-Better. The starting field of 241 players is down to just 27 hopefuls, each looking to capture the $277,519 first-place prize and a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Leading the way with 339,500 is Robert Mizrachi. No stranger to Omaha Hi-Low 8-or-Better, Mizrachi is looking for his first big WSOP score in this specific game to go along with his excellent H.O.R.S.E. and EIght-Game results. However, that's far from an easy task as the competition behind him is fierce. Second in chips is Francesco Barbaro (278,000) and he has an Omaha Hi-Low 8-or-Better bracelet to his name. Shawn Buchanan (263,500) is third in chips and the argument can be made that he is the best player out there yet to capture a bracelet. Ryan Lenaghan (180,500), Mike Matusow (95,000), and Bart Hanson (89,000) each final tabled this event last year and are back in the money looking to finish on top this time around. Throw in two-time Omaha Hi-Low 8-or-Better bracelet winner Viacheslav Zhukov (172,500) and the rest of this star-studded field and it's going to be a very exciting finish!

Play commences at 2pm local time and will carry on for ten levels (or eleven). A champion may arise by then, or we'll be back tomorrow. Regardless, keep it here for updates on all of the exciting action!
