Maria Ho Eliminated in 19th Place ($9,741)

Maria Ho (Day 2) - 19th Place
Maria Ho (Day 2) - 19th Place

We picked up with the action on the flop to see Christopher George, Viacheslav Zhukov, and Maria Ho looking down at the felt. The flop read {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} and Zhukov checked. George fired out a bet and Ho cut out a raise. Zhukov flat called and George three-bet. Ho called all in for her last 6,000 and Zhukov called the full bet.

The {6-Hearts} hit the turn and Zhukov checked. George bet out and Zhukov called. The {4-Hearts} finished off the board and Zhukov led with a bet. George called.

Ho tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a flopped top set for her high- but it was unfortunately bested by George's {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a straight.

Zhukov showed {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the nut low and took down half of the pot. Ho was sent packing in 19th place and her elimination has prompted a total re-draw for the final two tables.

Dan Kelly Eliminated in 20th Place ($9,741)

Level 20
Dan Kelly - 20th Place
Dan Kelly - 20th Place

We arrived at the table just in time to see Dan Kelly's cards being mucked by the dealer as he was eliminated from play. The board read {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and Kelly's opponent, Brian Hastings, held {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for aces full of treys and a sixty-five low. Kelly was unable to beat this hand and was eliminated from play.

Despite his early exit today, Kelly has still managed an astounding WSOP this year as this is his seventh recorded cash of the summer.

George Soars

Level 20

Christopher George raised from the hijack only to have Shawn Buchanan three-bet out of the cutoff. It folded back around to George who placed in a call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {4-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Hearts} and George checked. Buchanan fired a bet and George came over the top with a check-raise. Buchanan called.

The turn saw the {7-Spades} hit the felt and George fired one big bet. Buchanan called and the same action occurred after the {k-Diamonds} rivered.

George rolled over {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight which was enough for the high and the low. George is now sitting on about 490,000 while Buchanan has fallen to around 110,000.

Huck Seed Eliminated in 23rd Place ($9,741)

Huck Seed (Day 2)
Huck Seed (Day 2)

George Danzer opened the action with a raise from the cutoff only to have Huck Seed three-bet from the button. Danzer four-bet when it came back to him and Seed five-bet all in. Danzer called and the hands were turned over.

Danzer: {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Seed: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Danzer looked up at Seed.

"Good game," said Danzer.

Seed stared at the board for a moment.

"What happened?" remarked Seed.

"I made a wheel," replied Danzer, who indeed made a wheel to scoop the pot and eliminate Seed. Seed will take home $9,741 in 23rd-place prize money.

Matusow Scoops Lenaghan

Level 20

Ryan Lenaghan raised from the cutoff and received calls from Mike Matusow on the button and Jeff Lisandro from the big blind. The flop came down {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Lisandro checked. Lenaghan continued with a bet and Matusow called. Lisandro followed suit.

Fourth street was the {2-Spades} and Lisandro checked again. Lenaghan slowed down with a check on this street but Matusow shot out one bet. Lisandro kicked his hand into the muck and Lenaghan decided to call. The {4-Clubs} rivered and Lenaghan check-called one final bet from The Mouth.

Matusow tabled {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for two pair for the high and {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for his low. That was enough to scoop the pot as Lenaghan threw his hand into the muck. Matusow is now up to about 150,000.
