Barbaro Busts Two

Level 7

Cheech Barbaro opened the preflop action with a raise. Maria Ho and another player (who left the tournament area without identifying himself) called, and a short-stacked Brian Rast three-bet all in. All the other players called. The flop was {7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} Barbaro checked, Ho bet, the other player called, and Barbaro check-raised. Both players called. On the {8-Hearts} turn, Barbaro and Ho checked, then faced an all-in bet of 300 from their opponent, and both called. They both checked the {10-Hearts} river, and the players revealed their cards. Brian Rast held {a-}{5-}{2-}{9-}, which missed the board entirely. The other all-in player had {a-}{6-}{q-}{3-} for two pair, queens and sevens. Ho turned over {a-}{k-}{j-}{3-}, and Barbaro revealed {j-}{j-}{q-}{8-} for two pair, queens and eights.

No low was possible, and Barbaro's queens-up won the pot and eliminated two opponents. After the hand Barbaro had 44,000 in chips.
