Jason Koon Advances To The Round of 16

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

The last of our first 16 matches is now over and it was Jason Koon who walked away as the victor. It could've gone either way as the two men exchanged the chip lead several times before it ended.

On the final hand Paur moved in from the button and Koon made the call from the big blind.

Paur: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Koon: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} keeping Koon in the lead and leaving Paur drawing to running outs. Those outs didn't come and the {9-Clubs} came on the turn, leaving Paur drawing dead. The {10-Spades} on the river gave Paur a meaningless straight and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Koon will move on to face Mike Watson in the round of 16 that begins in about 20 minutes.
