Ryan Olisar Going For Back To Back

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Ryan Olisar has just doubled into the chip lead. We didn't catch all the action, but we did see Olisar counting out his chips with {A-}{A-} in front of him on a {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board.

With that pot Olisar has bounded to 324,000 chips and looks to make the final table of this event for the second year in a row.

Weinman Eliminates Karr & is Eliminated in Turn

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

In the last hand before the break, McLean Karr was eliminated in 83rd place by Daniel Weinman, who you may recall as the fourth-place finish in the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's New Orleans Main Event earlier this month.

According to Karr it happened after he opened under the gun with {Q-}{Q-} and was called by another player. Weinman then moved all in, Karr called off and the other player folded. Weiman was behind with {K-}{10-} and needed some help. The {J-}{2-}{2-} flop didn't do it, though the {10-} turn gave him some hope. Much to Karr's dismay, Weiman got there with a bigger two pair when a {K-} spiked on the river. Weinman got lucky, but he wouldn't upon returning from the break when he himself was eliminated.

Meanwhile, Ty Reiman was eliminated over at Table 442 in unknown action.

Boutin Bounced

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Burt Boutin was just eliminated and we caught the hand. Under the gun, Kenny Nguyen raised to 7,500. Action folded to the button who made the call and then to Boutin. Boutin took a few moments before moving all in for just about 55,000.

Back on Nguyen, he decided to move all in, with a stack just barely covering Boutin's. After a spell in the tank, the player on the button folded and the two players turned up their hands.

Nguyen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Boutin: {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} in favor of Nguyen and he was awarded a double up plus a little more for his troubles.

No More Musumeci

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Amanda Musumeci
Amanda Musumeci

Last year Amanda Musumeci just missed out on winning a bracelet in Event #9 $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry when she finished runner-up for $481,643. Musumeci was looking for another deep run in this event, but those hopes just came to an end courtesy of Kenny Nguyen.

The table filled us in on some details, as did Musumeci via Twitter, and apparently it happened when Nguyen opened for 8,000 and then tank-called after Musumeci moved all in for 65,000 or so. Nguyen held {A-}{Q-} and was way out in front of Musumeci's {A-}{9-}. The flop brought a queen, but Musumeci did pick up a double-gutter on the turn. Unfortunately for her, the river blanked and she was eliminated. With that, Musumeci exited with her seventh-career WSOP cash.

Baker Busted, Women Gone

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Just after Amanda Musumeci was eliminated Amanda Baker was also eliminated, marking the leave of all the Amandas and ladies in the field.

Preflop, Baker moved all in from the button over an opening raise. She was quickly called by the original raiser and the cards were shown.

Baker: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Raiser: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and that eliminated Baker from the tournament.
