Break Time

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

This marks the end of level 2. Players will be going on a 20 minute break and resume play with level 3. See you then!

Duo Tables

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

There's a lot of players in this tournament that we have never heard about yet. In a couple of days some of these local hero's will be familiar faces to us as they make a deep run. Some other players we already recognize. Some are known for their online play, some already have bracelets and some of them are just characters on their own.

With so many players in the tournament most tables are without anyone we recognize. Some tables however, have two players to keep track of. Cowboy Bryan Devonshire is seated at the same table as Michael Benvenuti while Steven van Zadelhoff is right next to Dan Heimiller. Shannon Shorr and Adam Levy are also seated at the same table, talking about dance festivals and such.

Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck Pranks Kara Scott

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Just past the start of level 2, we witnessed a prank played on Kara Scott by Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck.

Maridu and Scott were seated only a few tables away from each other in today's event, and after she recently busted, Scott came over to Maridu's table, and Maridu gave her a present--"sexy honeymoon" lingerie in celebration of Scott's wedding engagement.

"I love her to death, I just love her," proclaimed Maridu, who is ecstatic for her close friend. For those of you following the poker, Scott busted recently and Mayrinck is sitting at around 2,500.

"I'm Up to 10,000 Already!"

Dutch player Pim de Goede proudly tells us he already has 10,000 in chips. De Goede flopped a set and got it in versus someone with top pair. Another player got along and called on the turn De Goede's pot bet with a naked flush draw. De Goede faded the outs against him and thus had to start stacking early.

Tables Breaking

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

In the Black section of the Pavilion Room there's already tables being broken. The players are being spread out over empty spots in the Pavilion Room itself. People are busting out rather quickly, but that's nothing new for the smaller tournaments where players start with lesser chips than in the bigger ones.

In the meantime we saw some new players as well:

1,856 Players So Far

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

On the tournament clock it's listed that there's 1,856 players registered at the moment. Late registration will be open for a little while so there's more expected. With 1,856 there's already more players active today than there were in the $1,000 event Matt Waxman won June 4th. As promised, this is a big one again.
