Young's Top Pair Top Kicker No Good

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop we saw Justin Young bet out 800 from the big blind. His first opponent shoved for 3,250 and two other players folded. Young made the call but would soon find out his {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} was behind. His opponent showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and would hold with the {2-Diamonds} on the turn and {3-Clubs} on the river. Justin Young is down to about 6,000.

Wade Check Raises the Turn

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Tristan Wade opened to 425 from the cut off but would play the hand out of position as the only caller was seated right next to him on the button. Wade made a 400 continuation bet on {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and received an immediate call. The action on the turn took more time as Wade checked the {8-Hearts}. The player on the button made it 700 and Wade check-raised to 1,800. The call was again almost instant and the dealer put out the {5-Diamonds} as the river. Wade glanced at his stack and he looked ready to shove. In the end he changed his mind though, and checked. The button instantly announced all in and had Wade covered. Wade thought about it for a minute before eventually folding.

"Bakes" Has Some Work To Do

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

A player raised all in to 1,250 from under the gun with {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Action folded to David "Bakes" Baker in the small blind who made the call with more holding {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Enter the flop in the lead, Baker was not happy to see {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} pairing his opponent's one over card. The {2-Clubs} turn and {a-Diamonds} river did not help Baker and he doubled his opponent leaving with him with just 9 big blinds.

Time For A New Shark

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Humberto Brenes raised all in from early position for his last 1,575. A player in middle position called and when the hands were tabled, it was race time.

Brenes: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Middle Position: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Apparently, the shark needs to swim a little faster as a ten rolled off on the {10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop. Brenes was looking for a jack but didn't find one on the {9-Hearts} turn or {5-Spades} river and he hit the rail earlier than he would of liked.

Mark Kroon Back At It

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante
Mark Kroon (from Event #26)
Mark Kroon (from Event #26)

Coming off his fifth-place finish in Event #26: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship, Mark Kroon is back on the felt hoping to better his finish and get some gold.

Kroon and his sidekick Larry Wright, who finished 26th in that event, entertained the field and rail alike with their fun banter and witty comments. It should be noted they both played some pretty impressive poker to weave their way through that record field of over 4,400 players.

It is currently a little quiet in Kroon's corner but we know from experience that won't last long.
