Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and the 2013 World Series of Poker for the final day of Event #42: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em!

2,100 players took to the felt on Sunday, and now just 11 remain with their eyes firmly on the gold bracelet and $345,037 first prize. Great Britain's Rory Mathews is in the best shape to mount a charge at the title after he bagged an impressive 898,000 in chips, but hot on his heels are Denis Gnidash (815,000), Norbert Szecsi (738,000) and Dana Buck (663,000).

Also in contention are experienced tournament pros Chris DeMaci (591,000) and short stack Daniel Neilson (243,000) as everyone will firstly be looking to surpass the guaranteed $19,939 min-cash before locking up at least $25,392 on the final table.

Dan Murariu - 11th place

Jonathan Bennett opened to 35,000 from under the gun only to have Dan Murariu move all in for 244,000. With the action on Ariel Celestino, he made the call before Bennett folded his {A-Spades}{J-Spades} face up.

Murariu: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Celestino: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} to see Murariu fall in 11th place for $19,939 as the final ten players head on a short break to redraw and move to the secondary feature tabled.

Hand #20: Jonathan Bennett moved all in for 249,000 before Chris DeMaci moved all in next to act.

Bennett: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
DeMaci: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

With Bennett dominated, the {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop saw him drawing to just a jack, but when the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn, he now opened up outs to a chop with a five.

Unfortunately for Bennett, the river landed the {8-Hearts} to end his tournament in 9th place for a $25,392 payday as DeMaci climbed to 670,000 in chips.

The flop was spread {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Spades} to keep Landier out in the lead, and when the {5-Diamonds} landed on the turn, Buck was drawing to just a ten. The river landed the {3-Hearts} and Buck was sent to the rail in 8th place.

DeMaci: From Chip Suicide to Title Contention

Chris DeMaci expected to be out on Day 1.
Chris DeMaci expected to be out on Day 1.

Chris DeMaci, currently sitting in last place of the six remaining players, has certainly come much further in this tournament than he expected. He tried busting out of the tournament on this amusing hand from Day 1, but fate kept him in the tournament. He's certainly capitalized on the opportunity.

Bryce Landier Eliminated in 6th Place ($58,126)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Bryce Landier

Hand #84: From under the gun Denis Gnidash made it 60,000 only to have Bryce Landier three-bet to 215,000 from the small blind. The action returned to Gnidash and he made the call as the dealer dropped a {2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop.

Landier led out for 275,000 and Gnidash made the call as the {7-Hearts} landed on the turn. Landier shoved all in for 475,000 and Gnidash instantly made the call.

Lander: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Gnidash: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

In yet another cooler hand, Lander would need to spike a two-outer, but when the {2-Clubs} landed on the river, he was out the door in 6th place for a $58,126 payday.

Rory Mathews - 5th Place

Hand #85: Norbert Szecsi raised to 60,000 from the button, and Denis Gnidash made the call, as did Rory Mathews. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and both callers checked to Szecsi, who bet 80,000. Only Mathews called. The turn was an {8-Clubs}, and Szecsi fired 185,000 this time. Mathews called without delay, and a {7-Hearts} arrived on the river. Szecsi tanked for a minute before announcing he was all in for 680,000. Mathews called, and he was shown {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a flush. Mathews is now crippled, having just 80,000 to his name.

Hand #86: Denis Gnidash limped the button, and Kirby Martin checked his option. They checked the pot down, and Gnidash took down the pot with ace-high.

Hand #87: Rory Mathews jammed for 85,000 from the button. Chris DeMaci called.

Mathews: {q-Spades}{5-Spades}
DeMaci: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Hand #91: Denis Gnidash raised to 60,000 only to have Kirby Martin three-bet to 130,000. Gnidash folded and Martin won the hand.

Hand #92: Norbert Szecsi received a walk in the big blind.

Szecsi: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Martin: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

With Szecsi trailing and needing any club or jack to win, the river would strike the {10-Clubs} to send Martin to the rail in 4th place for $107,512.
