Sergey Tikhonov

Sergey Tikhonov raised to 25,000 under the gun, and action folded to Rory Mathews in the small blind. Mathews three-bet to 55,000, and the big blind folded. Tikhonov thought briefly before moving all in, and Mathews called immediately.

Mathews: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Tikhonov: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Tikhonov was in bad shape for his tournament life, and nearly all suspense ended when the flop came {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The turn was {8-Hearts}, ending Tikhonov's tournament life in 16th.

Neilson bet 66,000, and Tikhonov called after a couple of minutes of thought. The river was the {10-Spades}, and Tikhonov again checked. Neilson shipped the rest of it in for 155,000. Benjamin Luhr Eliminated in 19th Place ($10,187)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Benjamin Luhr pushed his short stack into the middle from late position, and Dan Murariu was the only caller.

Murariu: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Luhr: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Disappointment set in early for Luhr, as the door card was the {7-Hearts}. A {3-Spades} and {j-Hearts} were revealed behind it. Luhr asked for a heart on the turn, but the dealer placed a {9-Clubs} down. A {2-Hearts} completed the board, and Luhr's tournament had reached a disappointing end.

Balint Pusztai Eliminated in 22nd place ($10,187)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Chris DeMaci raised to 20,000 from middle position, and Balint Pusztai reraised from the small blind. Rory Mathews moved in behind him from the big blind, and DeMaci folded.

Pusztai: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Mathews: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The flop brought all diamonds: {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Since Mathews had a diamond, Pusztai was down to one out. The {j-Clubs} and {7-Spades} finished out the board, and Pusztai was down to about 70,000.

A few hands later, he jammed after it was folded to him in late position, and Jeffrey Forrest called from the big blind.

Forrest: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Pusztai: {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Pusztai had live cards, but not for long, as the flop came {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs}. A {q-Clubs} on the turn ended the hand, and Pusztai was done in 22nd.
