Tikhonov Falling

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Sergey Tikhonov has taken a few hits since we last saw him. In a recent hand, after Chris DeMaci raised to 6,000, Tikhonov three-bet to 14,500. DeMaci thought for a minute and then moved all in, and Tikhonov quickly folded. After the hand, he was down to 62,000 in chips, while DeMaci was up to 185000.

DeMaci Busts Another

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Chris Demaci
Chris Demaci

We arrived at the table on the turn to see Chris DeMaci facing a bet of 20,000 with the board reading {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. He raised to 43,500, and his opponent went all in. DeMaci called immediately and showed {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the nut flush. His opponent turned over {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and needed another queen or nine on the river. The river turned out to be the {10-Spades}, and DeMaci took the chips as his opponent hit the rail. DeMaci is now near the top of the leader board with 335,000 in chips.

Mathews Sends Dunst Out

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Tony Dunst
Tony Dunst

Tony "Bond18" Dunst moved all in with his last 44,000 in early position. He found one caller, Rory Mathews in the cutoff.

Dunst: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Mathews: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and Dunst commented that it wasn't the best start to the board. A {2-Diamonds} came on the turn, and Dunst just needed to a fade a heart or a nine on the end. The {a-Hearts} completed Mathews' flush though, and Dunst was sent to the rail.

Landier Scoops Three-Way All-In

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Rory Mathews opened for a raise in early position, but he surely wasn't expecting what followed. The player to his immediate left three-bet, Bryce Landier moved all in immediately after that and the next player jammed as well. Mathews folded, and the first reraiser called.

Late Position: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Middle Position: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Landier: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

As the dealer turned over the flop, the door card was an important one: {q-Spades}. The board finished out with {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and Landier's set of queens eliminated the player with jacks and allowed Landier to double through the player with kings.

Graf Doubles

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Noel Graf three-bet all in over a raise for 41,000. Rachel Kranz re-raised all in for 171,000. The initial raiser folded leaving Graf and Kranza in an all-in confrontation. Kranz showed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and she was behind Graf's {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The board came {4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, improving neither player. Graf more than doubled up to 96,000, and Kranz fell to 130000.

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.
