Don't Mess With the Zohair

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

With Zohair Karim flying under the radar for most of the day while he built a huge chip lead, we caught up with the circuit grinder to find out how he accumulated so many chips so quickly.

According to Karim, one pivotal hand that pushed him from 100,000 to 140,000 in short order happened when he flopped a set with {4-}{4-}.

Apparently, Karim flatted a raise of 12,000 from the button, as did a player in the big blind, and the three saw a flop of {10-}{5-}{4-} hit the felt. Karim smooth called a bet of 7,000 in the flop, after tanking to induce further action, and when the turn ({2-}) and river ({a-}) arrived on board, he got both opponents to ship with {A-}{10-} and {Q-}{10-} respectively.
