Tom McCormick Doubles Up, Busts Shortly After

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

With one of the shortest stacks in the room, Tom McCormick made his stand with {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}, getting his last 7,700 in before the flop.

McCormick was called by a player holding {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and although he was trailing heading to the flop, the {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} put him in the lead. The turn ({k-Clubs}) and river ({3-Diamonds}) kept him in front, and McCormick survived to give himself a shot at the cash.

Despite this brief comeback, however, McCormick was eliminated in 39th place a few hands later.

John Monette Eliminates Rep Porter to Bring on the Bubble

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Rep Porter was riding the short stack, and he made it two bets to play before the flop, with John Monette and the big blind player calling.

On the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, Porter led out for a bet, Monette called, and the other player mucked. When the {3-Diamonds} came on the turn, Porter risked his last 2,800 and Monette quickly called with his {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for trips on the flop. Porter held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and needed a lucky lady on the river, but the {6-Hearts} was a blank and he was eliminated in 38th place.

Is This the Big One for One Drop?

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

With the prestigious $111,111 high-roller event being held just across the room, dozens of interested onlookers have been streaming into the Amazon Room's Purple section hoping to spot their favorite poker stars.

Security staff has been plenty busy trying to herd the crowds in the right direction, and the remaining 37 players have patiently endured the intermittent intrusions.

Jon Turner Triples Through

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Jon Turner got his last few bets in with {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, and he was called in two spots.

The final board of {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades} was checked down on all streets, and Turner's top pair was good for the triple up, and Turner avoided being the bubble boy.

Dinner's On

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

The field has departed the Amazon Room for the dinner break, and they will return in 60-minutes to burst the money bubble.

Kevin Bradley Busts the Bubble Boy

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

The unfortunate bubble boy woke up with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and he moved all in before the flop for his last 2,000. Kevin Bradley made the call with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, and the two were racing for all the marbles.

Flop: {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Turn: {j-Diamonds}
River: {q-Spades}

The bubble burst on a river beat, as the overcards connected to best the pocket pair. With this elimination, the remaining 36 players have all made the money.
