Bakker Loses the Minimum

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Dutch poker aficionado Robbie Bakker told us he had pocket fives in the big blind in a limped pot. He flopped a set on {J-}{10-}{5-} and check-called a bet from an older gentleman. Bakker continued to check-call bets on the {4-}-turn and {10-}-river, only the be shown {10-}{10-} for quads. Robbie Bakker lost the minimum with his flopped set and rivered full house, and still has some fighting power left.

Jaka Jaka

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Just before the break we saw Faraz Jaka check-call a 150 bet from the big blind on {9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Jaka check-called a 325 bet from the button on the {3-Hearts} turn and the dealer put the {7-Diamonds} on the table to complete the board. Jaka checked and thought for some time after his opponent had bet again. Jaka asked if he could pick one of his opponents cards if he would fold. The player on the button agreed and Jaka eventually folded. Jaka quickly grabbed the top card, revealing the {A-Clubs}. Did the button have another ace up there? A jack maybe? Or even a nine? We will probably never find out. What we do know is that Jaka has 3,800 left.

Hortin Getting Some Revenge

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Dylan Hortin informed us he has been having a bad series. The last time we know of that he played he took second in a sit-n-go over in Pavillion a few days ago. Unfortunately that paid him nothing as his opponent took him down and won the one table tournament. Well lucky for Hortin he will get a chance for revenge against the player that took his chance away for some money just a few days ago. Hortin's opponent happened to be at the same table as Hortin today.

We caught up with a hand that had both players in action. Hortin made a called from the button after his Sit-N-Go opponent raised from middle position preflop with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The two saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Hortin's opponent checked and hortin bet his over pair. The opponent called and they saw a turn of the {3-Clubs}. This time Hortin made a bet of 275 after his opponent checked.

Hortin's opponent wanted to beat Hortin again and called. The river was the {10-Hearts}. After a final check Hortin felt his pair was good and bet 700. His opponent called and Hortin showed his hand. The rival opponent mucked and Hortin was happy to take quite a few from the man who had his number just two days ago.
