Gorodinsky Gets A Lot Back

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Omaha-8

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, Mike Gorodinsky check-raised a bet from Kristopher Tong. Tong called, and the river completed the board with the {J-Diamonds}. Gorodinsky bet, and Tong called.

Gorodinsky turned over the {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a full house, jacks full of nines, and Tong mucked his hand.

Gorodinsky Getting Shorter

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Omaha-8

Mike Gorodinsky raised it up on the button, and Kristopher Tong made the call. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {6-Clubs}, and this time, Tong led out. Gorodinsky called, and both players checked the {10-Diamonds} on the river.

Tong tabled {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a pair of queens, and Gorodinsky peaked down at his hole cards, thought for a few moments, then kicked them in. After losing that pot, Gorodinsky is down to 550,000, which is just under seven big bets.

Another Big One for Tong

Tong Scoops Big Pot

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The players started the action a few minutes early from break, so we barely caught the action of what turned out to be a huge pot on the first hand back. Both players had a few big bets in front of them as the dealer finished out a {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Spades} board. We saw Mike Gorodinsky bet out, and Tong shook his head as he put the call in. However, he ended up being good as he tabled {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for eights full, giving a 1.7 million to 1.1 million chip advantage.

Gorodinsky Gets Key Scoop

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 7,000 ante

Omaha-8

Mike Gorodinsky raised from the button, and Kristopher Tong defended his big blind. The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}, and Tong fired right out. Gorodinsky came in for a raise, and Tong made the call. The {2-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Tong led out yet again. This time, Gorodinsky just called, and the same thing happened when the scary looking {5-Spades} hit the river.

Tong tabled {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-} for a queen high flush and eight low, but neither was good, as Gorodinsky rolled over {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a better flush and low. After winning that cooler, Gorodinsky is back up to 1.2 million, and is closing the gap on Tong.
