Ivey Battling Back

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey was down to his last 2,100 earlier in the level, but he has since battled back, and has worked it back to 6,000. In the first hand, Ivey got three quarters in an omaha hand where his flush scooped the high, and he chopped the low. Later on in the omaha-8 section, he once again got in a big hand, but this time, he scooped it. All the money got in on the turn, with the board showing {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Ivey held {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} for two pair, and the dealer put the {q-Diamonds} on the river. Ivey's opponent mucked his hand, unable to beat the bottom two pair, and that got the greatest player in the world some much needed chips.
