Omaha-8

George Danzer finished runner-up in this event last year, and he made Day 2 this year with an average stack. However, he has just won a pot in O-8 to get his stack up close to 30,000.

We saw that Danzer and his opponent had two bets in front of them going to the flop, which came down {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Danzer check raised his opponent, and he was called. Danzer checked again when the {q-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Danzer's opponent fired out again. Danzer just called this time, and both players checked when the {5-Diamonds} hit the river. Danzer showed {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs} for two pair, and his opponent could only muster up the {10-Clubs} for a lesser two pair, giving the pot to the German pro.

After that hand, Danzer is now up to 27,000.
