Mortensen Well-Off; Malm Eliminated

Level 5

Limit Hold'em

We arrived at the table at the end of the hand to see a completed board of {8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs} with Carlos Mortensen and recent bracelet winner Michael Malm staring down at the felt. Mortsensen tossed out one final bet after the river card fell and Malm called.

Mortensen showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a rivered pair of tens. Malm shook his head and showed {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} to the table for a losing ace-high. Mortensen dragged the pot and Malm was down to just 1,000 in chips. He busted from play a few hands later.

Israelashvili Folds Sixth

Level 5

Razz

Roland Israelashvili{x-}{x-} / {5-}{10-}{5-}{9-}
Opponent{x-}{x-} / {A-}{Q-}{6-}{4-}

We picked up with the action after the deal to find a player open with a raise. Roland Israelashvili made it three bets from the next seat over and it folded back to the initial raiser to find him toss out a four-bet. Israelashvili called.

Israelashvili led out on fourth street and his opponent called to see fifth. On this street, it was Israelashvili's opponent who fired out and Israelashvili called. He did the same on sixth and Israelashvili went into the tank for roughly thirty seconds before opting to finally get rid of his hand. By losing this pot, Israelashvili's stack is down to around 6,900

One For Sklansky

Level 5

Limit Hold'em

We arrived at the table on the turn to see David Sklansky, David Williams, and a third player looking down at a flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. After an unknown round of betting, the {3-Diamonds} fell on fourth street and all three players checked.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Williams led out with a bet. The third player folded and Sklansky called. Williams tabled {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of kings but was ultimately behind Sklansky's {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for top pair. Sklansky dragged in the pot and now has about 8,400 while Williams has fallen to around 4,400.

No-Limit Hold'em

We arrived at the table just in time to catch the aftermath of a hand where Greg Raymer eliminated a player from the tournament. We managed to catch that the all in player was in for his tournament life before the flop with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} but was dominated by Raymer's {A-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

After a run out of {9-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Raymer was able to score the elimination and move his stack up to about 17,700.
