Cailly Doubles

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We arrived at the table on the turn to see Lucille Cailly call a bet of 600 with the board reading {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}. The two players saw the {10-Clubs} fall on the river, and it was checked to Cailly, who moved all in for 1175. After thinking for a few moments, her opponent called and tabled {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, but Cailly had the winner with {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Cailly doubled up on the hand, and her opponent was left with just a single T25 chip.

Three's Company For Kling

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Lauren Kling was involved in a pot on the flop. We saw her call 400 from her opponent on a flop of {j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. The turn came the {j-Diamonds}. This time both players checked. The river did not change the board much. Kling led out for 600. Her opponent then found a call.

Kling was happy to flip up her {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Her opponent could only muster up pocket queens. The flopped set gave Kling an early start to get something going as she has 3,700

As the Ladies Event approaches the first break of the day, here are some chip counts from around the room:

Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

We approached the table to see Cyndy Violette and Gaelle Baumann playing a pot together and noticed Baumann was playing with a short stack.

Baumann opened to 150 and Violette, to her direct left, called. They saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Baumann continued for 200 and Violet called. Baumann checked the {3-Spades} turn and Violette bet 600. Bauman folded, leaving her quite a bit of work to do.

Mika Hilaire Eliminates Cherish Andrews

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante
Cherish Andrews
Cherish Andrews

Mike Hilaire opened the preflop action with a raise to 125. The player to her left called, and Cherish Andrews raised to 450. Hilaire called and the other player folded, and they took the flop heads up. The dealer spread {10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Hilaire checked. Andrews continued for 450, and Hilaire then check-raised to 1,500, which is half of each player's starting stack. Andrews thought for a few moments before pushing all in, and Hilaire quickly called.

Hilaire: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Andrews: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Andrews had flopped top pair-top kicker, but was behind Hilaire's set of tens. The turn and river came {5-Clubs}, {3-Clubs}, offering Andrews no help. Hilaire raked in the big pot, and Andrews was busted from the tournament.
