Keith Lehr - 8th Place

Shannon Shorr raised to 51,000 on the button, Keith Lehr defended his big blind, and the flop fell {4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Lehr checked, Shorr continued for 61,000, and Lehr moved all in for 430,000. Shorr called.

Shorr: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Lehr: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Lehr needed a nine or running straight or flush cards to survive.

"Ten of diamonds for a sweat," Lehr requested.

The dealer quickly burned and turned the {3-Diamonds}, and was about to deliver the river.

"Whoa," Lehr pleaded. "Slow."

"Fast," Shorr interjected, smiling.

The dealer paused for a second, then delivered the fifth and final card; the {j-Spades}. Lehr, who finished runner-up in the $10,000 Six Max in 2012, was eliminated in eighth place, earing $129,342, and the remaining seven players are headed over to the mothership to form the unofficial final table.
