Slow Goings

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Since the re-draw, play has been underway for roughly 20 minutes, and currently it has been the slowest 20 minutes of the whole tournament.

There have been a few shoves here and there and the occasional flop, but players seem to be content to just settle in to their new table and hope to navigate up the pay jumps that now chance every three spots before reaching the final table.

River Run Good for Maniotis

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Aritu Raekorpi opened to 40,000 only to have Vassilios Maniotis move all in for 235,000 from late position. With the action on Jonathan Cohen in the big blind, he moved all in and Raekorpi folded.

Maniotis: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Cohen: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{K-Clubs} to see Maniotis spike gold on the river to stay alive and move to 540,000 as Cohen slipped to 1,320,000 in chips.

Males Spikes Ace

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Pete Males opened to 40,000 only to have Jonathan Cohen three-bet the cutoff to 100,000. Once the action returned to Males, he moved all in for 585,000 and after careful consideration Cohen made the call.

Males: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Cohen: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Just like the earlier hand, Cohen would lose another flip with jacks as the board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to see him send down to 750,000 as Males climbs to 1.2 million in chips.
