With a raise in front of her, Kathy Liebert slid a stack forward for the three-bet, and Paulette Faucher decided to make her stand with {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, moving all in for her last 3,500 or so chips.

Liebert asked for a count and joked with Faucher for a bit before ultimately making the call with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and she remained in a jovial mood even after discovering she was trailing Faucher's pocket pair.

Flop: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Just like that, Liebert surged into the lead with trip aces on the flop, and the turn ({7-Clubs}) and river ({5-Hearts}) kept her in front. Liebert continued to smile and joke with Faucher even after the bad beat, while Faucher continued their conversation from earlier as if the loss didn't bother her in the slightest.

With the win, Liebert moved above 13,000 chips heading into the second break of the day.
