Weber Makes A Tough Call To Stop The Slipping

Over the course of this level Matt Weber has been all over the chip counts. He lost a massive pot that put Barry Hutter in the chip lead and was down to as low as 300,000 at one point after being up to 615,000 just before. But Weber has made some traction and stopped the bleeding after making a tough call against another player.

Weber opened the pot to 12,000 from middle position and found one caller from the big blind. The flop came out and the player in the big blind took initiative and led for 12,500. Weber called.

The turn was the and both players checked. On the river, the player in the big blind decided to lead out again for 28,000. Weber took about 30 seconds to piece through the hand before tossing in the call.

"You're good," the player said, almost mucking his card, but then seeing that Weber wanted to see them, he tabled . Weber tabled his and was awarded the pot with just king high.

"Wow," Matt Salsberg said who was sitting just to the right of Weber.

"Sorry," Weber apologized to his opponent. "I just didn't want to hear you're good then you turn over ace-deuce with the ace of diamonds or something."

Either way, Weber has picked back up some much needed chips as he continues his journey to try to win a WSOP bracelet.
