Pritchard Doubles

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Carter Swidler opened to 4,000 from under the gun plus one, before Jason Pritchard opted to move all in for 18,200 from late position. The action folded back around to Swidler, who asked for a count, before making the call.

Swidler: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Pritchard: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Pritchard stood up from his chair and appeared to be leaving as the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, before he noticed that he had acutally won the hand.

“I’m sorry,” said Pritchard. “I honestly didn’t see the flop.”

Swidler didn’t mind, as he only lost a small portion from his big stack.

Tryba Sunk by a Boat Full of Treys

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Facing a raise to 4,200, Chris Tryba bumped it up to 7,700 from the button. The initial raiser made the call before both players checked down to the river with the board reading {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

On the river, Tryba's opponent slid out an assortment of chips amounting to 11,700 and Tryba made the call, but then folded at the sight of his opponent's {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a flopped full house.

"Nice hand!" stated Tryba as he stacked his chips while sinking to 50,000 and change.

Busquet Scoops a Big One After a Long Tank

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Olivier Busquet
Olivier Busquet

We caught up with Dan Martin and Olivier Busquet in a pot worth over 50,000 heading to the river. The board read {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Martin led out with a bet of 40,000.

With action on Busquet, he thought briefly before grabbing his entire stack of T5,000 chips and putting together a reraise of 110,000. Martin went into the tank. He went deep into the tank and he stayed there. About five minutes into his tank, another player at the table put his head down and said "Wake me up when we burst the bubble."

"Take as long as you want," he continued. "It only helps me out."

"Some of us are short," Barry Shulman said, who was also sitting at the table.

Finally, at just about ten minutes into Martin's tank, a player at the table called the clock. Martin thought for about 30 more seconds, looked at his hand once more, and tossed it into the muck.

"Show me one for a little giggle?" Martin asked Busquet after the hand. Busquet didn't not oblige, pushing his hand over to the dealer and chuckling before collecting the pot.
