Only 31 players began the day at the start of Day 3 in Event #57: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em. Just five and a half hours later players were already down to final table. In the first two hours of play, 13 players dropped extremely quickly, one after another, bringing the tables down to the final two tables right away. The first player to drop out of the tournament today was Sam Trickett, who ended his day quickly by losing a race to Jeff Papola. Next to go was Giuseppe Pantaleo, who lost a bunch of Carter Swidler early, then got turned by Grant Levy to exit te tournament.

Falling in 29th and 28th place were Ramin Hajiyev and Yaron Zeev Malki. Both players fell on simultaneous hands at separate tables. Falling next were Thayer Rasmussen, Igor Yaroshevskyy, and Petar Zografov

Viet Vo dropped in 22nd place when his pocket three were crushed by Jeff Papola's jacks. Falling in 21st was Grant Levy, who lost a race with Matt Berkey for a monster pot. Falling in 20th place was JC Tran, who was eliminated by the new chip leader, Matt Perrins. Closing out the final three tables was Alexandre Rivero, who lost yet another coin flip to Matt Berkey, bringing the field down to 18.

First to go from the final two tables was Christian Rudolph, who's lesser pair was no match for Antonio Buonanno's tens. Next to be eliminated was former spelling bee champion Pratyush Buddiga. Buddiga shoved his {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} into Thomas Muehloecker's {A-}{K-} and never caught up. Carter Swidler was next to fall in 16th place when his straight ran into a flush.

Dan Martin and Jeff Papola were the next to fall and they did it in the same hand. After a raise and a shove from Jeff Papola with {J-}{10-}, Seth Berger reshoved all in with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} Martin made the call with {Q-}{Q-} creating a huge three way all in pot. Berger flopped an ace and it held up, giving him the double knockout and the chip lead. Ravi Raghavan was next to fall when his over pair was no match for Matt Berkey's two pair. Falling 12th was Olivier Busquet who found himself short stacked after a couple of bad beats. Busquet got his money with crushed with nines against Thomas Muehloecker's tens and never improved to be sent home.

In 11th place, just before the unofficial final table, it was Philipp Gruissem who fell. Gruissem shoved all in from the small blind over a limp from Matt Berkey, but Matt Perrins in the big blind woke up with a monster to send Gruissem to the rail. It was only a few more hands until player's made it to the official final table and only one player would not be joining them. That player was Matt Schulte. Schulte was lost when he shoved all in after a bet from Antonio Buonanno, but Buonanno had two pair and he quickly snapped off Schulte who just had middle pair.
