Marco Johnson Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,345)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Marco Johnson was crippled down to just 12,000 in a hand versus Brian Brubaker in which the latter drew a wheel. Just a couple of hands later Eric Wasserson was raising from middle position and Brubaker reraised all in for his last 10,000 from the button, earning a call from Wasserson.

On the first draw Wasserson tossed away one card while Johnson discarded two — a {10-} and a {9-}. The next draw saw Wasserson again taking one and Johnson again taking two, once more showing the two he was throwing away — {Q-}{Q-}.

The third draw saw Wasserson take one card again and Johnson once again having to draw two, this time showing he'd been dealt two fives when he already had a {5-} in his hand. Johnson showed he'd ended with a {9-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}, and Johnson showed his first three cards — {6-}{5-}{2-}.

Johnson then checked the last two he'd been dealt, and quickly showed them to be {10-}{3-} before departing in 16th place.
