Hands 153-159

Level 35 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #153: Bennington bumped it up to 600,000 holding the button, and Gray came along to see the flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs} hit the table. Gray checked to Bennington, and then called the doctor's 1 million chip bet. On the {9-Hearts} and {8-Diamonds} river, both players checked it down and Bennington's {A-}{10-} was the winner.

Hand #154: Gray moved all-in from the small blind, adding the antes to his stack.

Hand #155: Gray raised his button to 750,000, folding the blinds and claiming their chips.

Hand #156: With momentum on his side and the chip lead to boot, Gray raised for a third hand in a row, making it 750,000 to play from under the gun. Chen called to defend his big blind, and the flop of {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts} was checked around. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Chen fired 650,000 into the pot, and Gray matched the wager. The {K-Diamonds} arrived on the river, and Chen again led out, this time for 850,000, and Gray pondered the mysteries of life for a minute before electing to call. He could not beat Chen's {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for top pair, and the intricate chip trading dance here at the final table continued.

Hand #157: Liberto raised to 605,000 from under the gun, but folded to Gray's three-bet ship.

Hand #158: On the button, Chen raised to 600,000, but folded when Gray again shipped his entire stack into the middle to force an all-in decision.

Hand #159: Chen opened for 600,000 from under the gun, and Bennington came along. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, drawing oohs and ahhs from the rail, but Benningto check-folded to Chen's 450,000 c-bet.

Hands 149-152: Gray Doubles Through Liberto

Level 35 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #149: Liberto opened to 600,000 from under the gun, and Gray moved all-in for 3.85 million after it folded to him. Liberto called quickly with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} to put Gray at risk, but his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} put him in an advantageous position. The flop came {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and with it calls of heart, heart!" from Liberto's rail. When the {4-Hearts} arrived on the turn, those calls intensified, but a {10-Spades} on the river changed nothing, and Gray's ladies held up for the double.

Hand #150: Bennington opened for 600,000 from under the gun, and Liberto came along. The {4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board was checked down the whole way, and Liberto's {K-}{8-} was good enough for the win.

Hand #151: Gray opened for 750,000 on the button, and Bennington defended his big blind. The flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} prompted Gray to check-call a bet of 600,000, and the turn came {4-Hearts}. After the two players tapped the table, the {a-Hearts} appeared on the river. Bennington led out for 600,000 and Gray looked him up with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, which was good enough to beat the {K-}{9-}.

Hand #152: Liberto raised to 600,000 from the button, Chen re-shoved for 4 million, and it folded back around to Liberto. After thinking things over for thirty seconds or so, he released and Chen took it down.

Level: 35

Blinds: 150,000/300,000

Ante: 50,000

Hands 143-148

Level 34 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Hand #143: Liberto open-shoved from the small blind, stealing the blinds and antes.

Hand #144: Gray moved his entire stack into the middle, open-shoving from under the gun, and his opponents obliged by folding around.

Hand #145: The action folded around to Chen in the small blind, he shoved all-in, and Gray surrendered his big blind.

Hand #146: Gray moved all-in for the small blind, and the blinds and antes were sent his way.

Hand #147: Gray tried the trick again, and once more his opponents gave him their chips without a fight.

Hand #148: Flush with confidence from the previous two hands, Gray popped it to 500,000 from under the gun. Liberto elected to match the bet holding the button, and the flop came {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Gray's check was met with a bet of 250,000 from Liberto, and he called to see the {9-Clubs} arrive on the turn. Both players checked and the river brought the {8-Diamonds}, which prompted a bet of 675,000 from Liberto. Gray called, but both players rolled over {A-}{10-} to chop the pot with identical straights.

Hands 137-142: Chen Doubles Through Bennington

Level 34 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Hand #137: Holding the button, Bennington upped the bet to 500,000, and Gray defended his big blind. On the flop of {8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} Liberto checked, Bennington bet 500,000, and the pot was pushed his way.

Hand #138: Gray open-shoved from the small, risking his last 2.8 million, and the blinds and antes were his reward.

Hand #139: Liberto limped in from the small blind, Bennington checked his option, and a bet by Liberto on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop took it down.

Hand #140: Bennington's raise to 520,000 from the small blind was enough for the win.

Hand #141: With his stack under 7 big blinds, Chen open-shoved for 1.715 million from the small blind when the action folded around to him. Gray thought about things for a while, but ultimately decided to let this one go.

Hand #142: Bennington raised to 500,000 from under the gun, Chen moved all-in over the top for 2.075 million, and Bennington asked for a count. Eventually the doctor made the call with {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, getting tremendous pot odds on the chance to eliminate a dangerous player, but he was dominated by Chen's {A-Spades}{j-Hearts}. With his rail calling for an ace, the dealer delivered one on the {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. While this flop looked good for Chen, Bennington actually picked up an additional out by exchanging queens for tens, and he was now looking to complete his gutshot Broadway draw to eliminate Chen. No such luck arrived on the turn of {6-Hearts} or river {A-Diamonds}, however, and Chen notched a desperately needed double.

Hands 130-136

Level 34 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Hand #130: Liberto's bleeding ended momentarily, courtesy of a walk in the big blind.

Hand #131: Bennington continued his climb, calling a preflop raise of 550,000 made by Gray, and betting the turn on a {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to force Gray out.

Hand #132: Gray open-shoved for 4.43 million, and the overbet did the job.

Hand #133: Bennington raised his button to 500,000, and scooped the blinds and antes.

Hand #134: Liberto received another walk in his big blind.

Hand #135: Gray raised his button to 550,000, Bennington came along, and the flop fell {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Both players checked, and the action repeated on the {5-Hearts}. When the {9-Hearts} came on the river, Bennington fired a bet of 500,000 at Gray, who tanked for a minute or two before looking the doctor up. When Bennington opened up {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, his flush was too much for Gray, who sailed his cards into the muck.

Hand #136: Liberto raised his button to 480,000, Bennington and Chen called from the blinds, and the flop came {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. After it was checked to him, Liberto fired away with a bet of 570,000, forcing his two opponents to retreat.
