Chris Hunichen Goes Runner Runner to Survive
Chris Hunichen Goes Runner Runner to Survive

Hand #26: Online pro Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen knew his stack was shrinking in relation to the blinds, so he open-shoved from under the gun, risking his last 945,000 holding {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Benny Chen woke up with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and reshoved over the top, isolating the action and bringing on a showdown. The flop of {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} maintained Chen's lead in the hand, and Hunichen's supporters on the rail called for diamonds to rain down. A {9-Diamonds} did fall on the turn, and "Big Huni" now needed a seven or a diamond to survive his all-in encounter.

River: {8-Diamonds}

With his rail exploding in celebration, Hunichen hit gin on the river and stood in celebration, while Chen shipped over the requisite portion of his stack.
