Newhouse Gaining Momentum

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We passed by Lily Newhouse's table and realized she reraised the initial raiser enough to put him all in. He eventually folded but not until after a tank of 2:45 that was already in progress when we arrived. As this was happening one of the players mentioned that they only made one orbit during the entire level.

With all that said, We noticed Newhouse has been growing her stack and now sits comfortably above average.

Yu Hits the River

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We walked up to the table in the middle of a heads up hand between Ben Yu and Maksim Tyurin. There was about 8,000 in the middle, and the flop read {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Yu checked to Tyurin, who fired out 2,500. Yu check raised it to 6,500, and Tyurin made the call. Both players checked the {6-Spades}, and the {10-Clubs} hit the river. Yu fired out 7,000, and Tyurin began to assemble the call with blue T500 chips, 1,000 at the time. He eventually tossed it in, and Yu showed {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a rivered pair of tens.

Tyurin mucked, and Yu took down the pot to us his stack to 115,000.

Earl Barron Playing

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Former NBA champion who played the home stretch of this past season with the New York Knicks is in the field. While he has a ways to go to match his basketball paycheck, he is gaining chips early on in the day.

Ausmus Busto

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

We caught Jeremy Ausmus chipping up nicely on the money bubble, but we just saw him follow a dealer to the payout desk, meaning that he is one of the slew of causalities that have fallen within the last 30 minutes after the bubble.

Loeser Doubles

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We did not catch the initial action but happened to see a 5,000 bet in front of Manig Loeser, on the button. Jan Eric Schwippert moved all in from middle position putting Loeser at risk if he called. It seemed a difficult decision for him but he did make the call and the hands were tabled.

Loeser: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Schwippert: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Loeser was ahead going to the flop and stayed there through the {3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board.

Yu Climbing

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} board was showing when we approached the table and saw a bet of 8,800 in front of Henry Lu and it was called by the player on the button.

Lu led for 21,500 on the {8-Hearts} river and his opponent made the call.

Lu: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

We didn't see the action preflop but seeing the hands and the pot there must have been some. Lu raked a large pot and is near the 200,000 mark.
