Aces vs. Kings vs. Queens

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Action folded to Kristijonas Andrulis in middle position, and he kicked off the action by raising to 1,100. Behind him, Todd Rodenborn made the call, then play folded over to Steven Piper in the cutoff seat. Piper reraised to 3,700. On the button was David Hertzog, and he moved all in for 18,025. Adrulis quickly folded, and then it was up to Rodenborn.

"Can I get a count?" he asked the dealer.

The dealer counted out Hertzog's shove, informed Rodenborn of the amount, and then Rodenborn announced that he was all in. He was all in for 21,950.

"Well, there's only one hand that beats me," announced Piper as he slid his chips forward and stood from his chair at the same time. He had the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

"And I got it!" exclaimed Rodenborn, emphatically tabling the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

Hertzog, the shortest player of the three, tabled the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, which caused the table to erupt in a series of "ooohhss" and "aaahhss."

"Ace me! Ace me! yelled Rodenborn. "Let's just end it!"

Queen! Queen!" cheered Hertzog.

Piper simply stood with his hands on top of his head hoping.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to give Hertzog the lead.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" he yelled.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, and the river was the {3-Clubs}. Hertzog's queens went from worst to first, and he tripled up. Rodenborn was all in for 3,925 on the side pot versus Piper, and he won that to be left with about 8,000 in chips. Piper was left with right around 10,000.
