Anderson Busts Wong

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

From the cutoff seat, Calvin Anderson raised to 1,600. Stephen Bokor flat-called on the button, then action folded to Danny Wong in the big blind. Wong, who finished 14th in last year's World Series of Poker Main Event for $465,159, moved all in for 17,100. Anderson immediately took his sunglasses off and put them down on the table next to his opening raise while he thought. He tanked for a bit, then called. Bokor folded.

Anderson showed the {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and was ahead of Wong's {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. On the flop, the {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} fell and Wong took the lead. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, leaving Anderson needing an ace or a seven to win the hand. The river completed the board with {7-Hearts} and Anderson had completed his straight. Wong was eliminated, while Anderson climbed to nearly 100,000 in chips.
