Every year, one of the stories that grows progressively larger the longer the World Series of Poker Main Event runs is which female entrant will last the longest. Two years ago, Erika Sands (then Erika Moutinho) took 29th in the Main Event for $242,636. Last year, Gaelle Baumann finished in 10th place for $590,442 and Elisabeth Hille took 11th for $590,442. This year, the early eyes have been placed on Dar'Ya Hulyk.

Hailing from Ukraine, Hulyk has four results on record and one WSOP cash from 2011. For that score, she took 14th in a $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event for $30,431. Her others cashes are for $10,873, $15,447 and $4,225, bringing her total career earnings to $60,976.

While it's still very early in the 2013 Main Event, Hulyk is looking very strong at her table. While Baumann and Hille set the bar extremely high last year, and Loni Harwood has also cemented herself in the 2013 poker history books, it's going to take a lot for Hulyk top it all. But with roughly 220,000 chips at Day 2c nears a close, it looks like she's ready to knock on the door.
