Following two WSOP Bracelet ceremonies recognizing Matthew Ashton's win in Event #55: The #50,000 Poker Players' Championship from a few days ago and Eli Elezra's second bracelet in Event #59: $2,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball, the cards are now back in the air for Day 1a of the Main Event.

During the break the Tournament Directors removed the dead stacks on each table and reduced all the tables to nine-handed play. Any new player taking their seat will be assigned to one of the open seats and will begin with a fresh 30,000-chip stack.
