Jorshari Doubles Through Islam in Blind-Versus-Blind Battle

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Action folded to Jefri Islam in the small blind and he moved all in for 6,600, which Milad Jorshari called from the big.

Jorshari: {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Islam: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Jorshari got it in good and it only got better as the board ran out {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to give him a full house and the double.

Obrestad Accumulating Early

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We came in on a 3,500 bet from the hijack with a flop of {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Annette Obrestad, in the cutoff, called the bet.

The hijack led for 7,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn. Again, Obrestad called. The {8-Spades} saw the hijack betting 10,000. Obrestad called showing [Ksqd} for top pair which is good against her opponent's {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Obrestad is now sitting on a large stack.

Abou Risk Eliminates Fielder and Belanger

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We saw World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw Durant Main Event champ Jeff Fielder exiting the tournament floor, which is usually an indication that that player was recently eliminated. Sure enough, a quick check with Ari Engel confirmed it.

According to him, action folded to Nick Abou Risk on the button and he opened for a standard raise. Fielder then three-bet all in for around 20 big blinds with {Q-}{10-} from the small blind and Abou Risk made the call with {A-}{J-}. Abou Risk's hand held and he was pushed the pot.

As we were being told this story, Abou Risk actually eliminated Jason Belanger, who got his stack in with the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Abou Risk woke up with the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and that was all she wrote for Belanger as his kicker proved inferior in the end.

Meanwhile, Joel Tushnet has also been eliminated from the tournament.

Dresch Short After Folding to River All In

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Action folded to Dana Krohn who raised from middle position to 2,400. Jeremy Dresch reraised to 5,300 from the cutoff, Krohn called and the flop fell {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

Krohn checked to Dresch, who bet 9,000. Krohn answered by announcing all in. After counting his chips and some internal debate, Dresch folded leaving him short with about 30,000 behind.

Cline Busts Ly and Stammen

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Before the level went up we caught some three-way action between John Cline in middle position, Kevin Stammen on the button, and Hien Ly in the big blind.

Cline raised preflop to 7,000, putting Stammen all-in for 6,500. Ly re-raised all-in to 16,000 and Cline called. The pot was a little over 22,000 as the players flipped their cards:

Cline: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Ly: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Stammen: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Board: {j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Cline scooped the pot to eliminate both Stammen and Ly.

Pagan Doubles Through Thavarajah

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Angel Pagan opened from middle position to 5,000. Action folded to Srinivasan Thavarajah who raised from the big blind to 14,000. Pagan immediately went all in and was snap called by Thavarajah. When the hands were tabled, Thavarajah was ahead with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and was up against Pagan's {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The jack on the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} gave Pagan a full house and his hand held through the {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} turn and river.
