Level 14
Chris Reslock
Chris Reslock

Stud

Scott Fischman: {x-}{x-} / {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}{A-Spades} / {x-}
Chris Reslock: {x-}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} / {x-}

We picked up with the action on fourth street to see Scott Fischman throw out a bet. Chris Reslock called and the same action occurred on fifth. Fischman checked sixth and Reslock led out. Fischman called and checked once again on seventh. Reslock bet once more.

Fischman sat up straight in his seat and looked disheartened, but tossed out a call. Reslock rolled over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a straight and Fischman flung his hole cards at the muck. Reslock scooped up the pot and now has about 74,000 in chips. Fischman, on the other hand, has been crippled to only 8,000.

Kim Forces a Fold

Level 14

No-Limit Hold'em

We found Mike Kim in a pot having raised from early position. His opponent, in the small blind, check-raised his 5,600 bet to 11,200 after a {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Kim made the call. The turn completed the three-flush with the {k-Spades}, and Kim's opponent made a small bet of 8,000. Kim forced his opponent all in, and the player folded.

Diamonds Are For Johnson

Level 14

Limit Hold'em

The board read {3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} when we found Marco Johnson and an opponent heads up in a hand. It was checked to Johnson who fired out a bet. His opponent called and the river paired the board with the {J-Hearts}. Another check to Johnson prompted one more bet.

Johnson's opponent clicked it right back with a raise and Johnson wasted little time three-betting. His opponent called but mucked his cards after seeing Johnson roll over {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped diamond flush.

After scooping this pot and stacking his new chips, Johnson's stack sits around 140,000.

"Oh S***, I Have a Pair"

Level 14

2-7 Triple Draw

Eric Crain was in the cutoff against an opponent in the big blind, and Crain laughed and drew four after his opponent drew one.
Crain's opponent fired out after the draw, and Crain raised. The big blind made it three bets, and Crain called.

The big blind stood pat, and Crain drew one. Crain called his opponent's bet.

The big blind again stood pat, and Crain drew a final card. His opponent checked dark. Crain bet, and his opponent called. Crain announced an eight-seven.

"No good," his opponent said, turning over his hand.

"I've got an eight...," the dealer trailed off as he noticed Crain's opponent had turned over a hand with two fours.

"Oh s***, I have a pair," the player said. "I suck."

Turner Takes His Leave

Level 14

Stud Eight-or-Better

Jon Turner: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} / {x-}

We arrived on seventh street to see a large pot in the middle of the table and Jon Turner pondering one more bet. He thought for about thirty seconds before finally dropping in a call. Turner's opponent fanned {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for deuces full of aces and Turner mucked his hand. This loss left him with only 2,400 in chips. He was eliminated from play moments later.

Ivey Eliminated

Level 13

Pot-Limit Omaha

Josh Arieh has eliminated the legendary Phil Ivey from contention. According to Arieh, "Ivey didn't have s***."

Another observer told us that Ivey had raised and gotten two callers. Ivey proceeded to continuation-bet a {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} board and was called by Arieh. Ivey then apparently jammed the rest of his chips in on {j-Diamonds}, and Arieh called with {10-}{10-}{9-}{3-}. Ivey had {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-}{6-} for overs and a flush draw, but Arieh filled up with a {j-Clubs} river.
