Devonshire Doubles

Level 11

Limit Hold'em

We arrived at the table to find Bryan Devonshire and Marco Traniello looking down at a board of {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Devonshire led out with a bet and Traniello clicked it back. Devonshire three-bet all in and Traniello called.

Devonshire: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Traniello: {Q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Devonshire was behind and needed help in order to stay alive. He found exactly that as the {7-Diamonds} drilled the river, giving him a straight and the best hand. Devonshire was able to double to about 17,000 while Traniello has fallen to around 34,000.

Razz

We found Josh Arieh with all his cards turned over in Razz, as his opponent was all in. Arieh had {a-}{3-}{4-}{4-}{5-}, and his opponent had paint and a ten.

"Pair him up," the player said, but the dealer instead tossed Arieh a six, leaving Arieh's opponent drawing dead and walking away from the table.

He's Got Soul

Level 11

Pot-Limit Omaha

Matthew Kaufman opened to 1,200 from middle position and his only caller was Fabrice Soulier from the button.

The flop brought {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Kaufman continued out for 1,600. Soulier called to see the {5c } fall on the turn. Kaufman slowed down with a check and Soulier bet 1,800. Kaufman came over the top for 4,500 total and Soulier replied by three-betting the rest of his stack for about 9,200 total.

"Nice hand," said Kaufman before flinging his cards into the muck.

Soulier was pushed the pot and tabled 75% of his hand- showing {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. A moment after the hand, someone inquired about what he showed and Soulier insisted he had showed king-eight-four but the rest of the table assured him that it was a queen and not a king. Soulier remained adamant that it was a king.

"Then you had king, queen, four, eight," someone chimed in from across the table which was met with a laugh.

Regardless of his hole cards, Soulier is now sitting on about 20,000 in chips while Kaufman has fallen to around 23,000.

Bonomo Not Scared

Level 11

Razz

Online legend Jon "Pearljammer" Turner checked to Justin Bonomo after all the cards had been dealt. Turner was showing four wheel cards, while Bonomo had a pair of deuces and a four-five.

Bonomo thought briefly before betting into Turner's scary board, leaving him with almost nothing behind. Turner thought for a bit before folding his hand.

Schulman, Harder Duel

Level 10

PLO

In one of the last hands before break, Christian Harder opened for 1,000 from the button, and Nick Schulman made the call from the small blind.

The flop came down coordinated: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}, and Schulman check-called 1,400. He then led out 4,200 on a {3-Hearts} turn, and Harder thought for a long time before calling. The dealer turned over the {4-Clubs} for the river card, and Schulman checked. Harder bet the pot, nearly enough to put Schulman all in. Schulman folded his hand after some thought.

Williams Takes Four-bet Pot

Level 10

Omaha Eight or Better

Chris Reslock, on the button, put in four bets on the turn against David Williams, in the big blind, and another player in middle position. The board read {4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, and both of Reslock's opponents called. The river came {10-Diamonds}, and Williams led out. The middle-position player folded, and Reslock made the call.

Williams turned over {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush draw, nut low draw, and rivered straight. Reslock turned over his hand, but we only saw a queen before the dealer swept up his cards, so we believe he had a set of queens.
