A Small Note

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Since some players chose to take the entire 90-minute dinner break, they are one level behind the rest of the field. This means that some of the field is still playing 400 - 800 with an 100 ante and some players are playing 600 - 1200 with a 200 ante.

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

The players who elected to play level 7 during the first part of the dinner break are now also on break. All remaining tables will resume play in 30 minutes.

Wolpert snaps One Off

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Leo Wolpert raised to 1,600 from the button pre-flop, and his opponent called from the big blind. Both players checked the flop of {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. On the {7-Clubs} turn card, the big blind bet out 1,400, and Wolpert called. The {10-Diamonds} fell on the river, and the big blind again bet out, this time for 2,100. Wolpert had an agonized look on his face, but pushed forward 2,100 of his own. His opponent said "Good call," and Wolpert turned over {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for a winning pair of aces.

Ronald Lee Eliminated

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jason Duval has eliminated Ronald Lee from the tournament.

According to Duval, on a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Jason Duval checked, Ronald Lee bet out, and then Jason Duval check-raised enough to put Lee all-in. Lee called with {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flush draw, and Duval was ahead with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The turn and river cards were the {10-Spades} and {9-Clubs} giving Duval an unnecessary full house and the victory.
