Davy Doubles

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Lee Davy jammed his last 1,500 with {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} over an early position opener for 200. Davy got a call and was happy to turn a flush to give him a double up.

Davy is short on chips, but crucially he is still in.

Heater Stopped For the Moment

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

"I am on a heater right now, guess I can loosen up my range a bit," said Darik Conley after he opened to 500 from the button and saw the big blind moving all in for 2,825 chips. Darik ended up calling with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and it was a flip against {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

After the {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop, Conley was drawing quite slim, and when the {10-Clubs} came on the turn he asked the dealer for a jack. The request was however denied as the {7-Hearts} came on the river, stopping Conley's heater for the moment after a great start.

Quack Quacks, Quad Quads

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 400, Chad Holloway called, and the big blind called. After a flop of {k-}{q-}{2-}, the big blind checked, the preflop raiser bet 500, Holloway called, and the big blind folded.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Holloway's opponent again bet 500 and once more Holloway called. The {8-Hearts} on the river brought yet another lead bet of 500, but this time Holloway raised to 1,300. Holloway's opponent called then Holloway smoothly rolled over a pair of deuces for quads.

Apparently it was no big deal, though, as Holloway mentioned to this reporter that this was the fourth time they have seen quads in just over two levels at Table 10.

Arnett Holds On

Kristy Arnett

It folded round to the small blind who had Kristy Arnett sat to his left in the big blind. He completed hoping to see a flop but Arnett was having none of it and she jammed it in his eye for 1,600. The small blind folded and Arnett added a few chips to her stack.

In the small blind next hand, it folded to Arnett who released her hand. The big blind flashed her his cards and she exclaimed, “I had you crushed.”

Cronin Crushing

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

He was already the biggest stack on his table when we arrived and Chris Cronin just added another nice pot to his resume for Day 1.

In a three-way hand the flop came {6-Clubs}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts}, Cronin bet 325, and only the small blind check-called. On the {9-Diamonds} turn, both players checked. The river then brought the {9-Clubs} and the small blind fired a bet of 600. Cronin raised to 1,600 in the big blind and got a quick call. Cronin turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for backdoor trips and that was good.

Demori Demolishes Opponent

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

We noticed the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop and Tony Demori leading for 700. The big blind then check-raised all in for what looked like 2,000 and got a rather quick call from Demori. The all-in player sheepishly turned over {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} while Demori showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The {2-Spades} turn and the {6-Clubs} river were of no help to Demori's opponent, and Demori is now on five digits.
